The music is wonderful. I received the CD as promised. A nice variety of gospel sounds.
The score 5/5. This album will make any gospel music novice a veteran over night because it features most of the Gospel Greats. WOW Gospel 2008 a double CD with 33 tracks to rock or quench any musical thirst. This album is designed to cater for every musical taste or style. Jakes & The Potter's House Mass Choir. The amazing Muyiwa & Riversongz, Roger Samuels, The Blessed Man, Four Kronez would have complimented this album immensely. We pray that WOW 2008 will feature some UK arts. There is a blend of up tempo and mellow vibes. The album feature tracks from the following artists: Myron Butler & Levi, Karen Clark Sheard, J Moss Featuring Anthony Hamilton, Smokie Norful, Cece Winans, Lashun Place, Hezekiah Walker, LFC & Dave Hollister, Yolanda Adams, Mary Mary, Heaven's Best, Kurt Carr, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, The Clark Sisters, Donald Lawrence Presents The Tri-City Singers, Dewayne Woods & The Tri-City Singers, The Mighty Clouds Of Joy, Patti Labelle & Mary Mary, The New Life Community Choir & John P Kee, Marvin Sapp, Fred Hammond, Byron Cage, Israel & New Breed & T-Bone - Long Life, Kierra Kiki Sheard, James Hairston & Youthful Praise, Tye Tribett & G.A, Richard Smallwood With Vision, Tramaine Hawkins, Patrick Lundy & The Ministries Of Musicz, Juanita Bynum, Donnie McClurkin, Nicole C Mullen, West Angeles Mass Choir, Bishop T.D.
The only thing that lets this album down is still the lack of UK artists featured. This is still highly recommended because it an outstanding value. The 11th album in this top ranking series, this series is totally top ranking because all your favorites' tracks on the same album. From Contemporary to classic and from worship to R&B and the story just goes on and on,The album opens with the top selling Gospel Artist Kirk Franklin with the track Looking For You, what an opener. Why I most ask.
I absolutely love this CD. There's nothing like popping this CD in on the way to work to get your day going.
It compiles many of the good gospel songs of 2008. I find that I can think clearer and pray for peace. I love this CD. When I'm having a bad day, I pop it in and it is food for my soul.
There were "some" songs which were really good. If I ever buy another WOW CD you can be sure that it will have a better song list and worth the price. The WOW GOSPEL 2008 CD, in my opinion, was not worth the asking price. It seems that the WOW series CDs deals mainly in quantity of songs and not quality of songs.
